I absolutely love this place. The drinks (a typical range of coffee, tea and the like) are tasty and the staff super friendly. But of course the main draws are the cats. Book ahead to spend time in the cats' room, hanging out and getting to know the cafe's resident feline and guests from the Lawrence Humane Society. One of the cats we were petting and playing with got adopted while we were there, and I think two more were finding a new home as we were leaving. I honestly don't know when I've left a cafe in such a radically improved mood. If the concept appeals to you at all, then put this on your must do list.

Such a wonderful place! I was in town for my birthday, thought how lovely it would be to see some new kitties, and took a chance to go in without a reservation. The person at the counter was very kind. They answered my questions, got me setup for the next slot, and recommended a refreshing drink while I waited. There a purrfect photo moment wall, and some lovely cat-related books to browse and relax with. The ambience was clean and cute. The community fliers made me feel included and welcome. And of course, the kitties!! I had been following them on social media for awhile so it was great to see firsthand the love and attention that goes into socializing these kitties and getting them to their next homes. Thank you to everyone involved in this special place!

I had a matcha latte and their matcha is pre-sweetened perfectly. It was so delicious and it was perfect on such a sunny day. The cats were chillin and I like the area they have for them. Definitely a sweet place to stop.

This is such a gem! The staff are super friendly, they make delicious lattes and baked treats (the brown butter banana bread is amaaaazing), and the kitties are obviously a big highlight! Spending 30 min with the kitties is a great boost to any day. And they’ve got good space to just sit and work or chat. They do amazing work in partnership with the humane society. So happy we have this place!

The drinks here are phenomenal, most cat cafes I’ve been to are pretty well packed or simple beverages but this place could easily just be a cafe. The cats slept the whole time we were there so I’d recommend maybe not going around midday as cats tend to nap midday but I didn’t think about that when booking our time slot. If we come back I’d honestly be content to sit at the window with a drink and just watch, the cat room is a little tight.

We’ve been talking about adopting a cat for over a year and remembered that Espurresso was a cozy place that provided interactive sessions with cats. We decided we would only adopt if we really connected with a cat. Brittany was a very knowledgeable and helpful barista and answered all of our questions. We got to spend quality time with the cats and ended up adopting Starlight! There was a good assortment of cats, but Starlight is the perfect cat for us. We’ve renamed her Mocha and she’s adjusting well. We look forward to providing a safe and happy forever home for her

A great, intimate cafe with plenty of seating and the ability to watch the kitties or play with them. The cats are in a separated space and all but one is available for adoption. Syd is the Cafe cat. The day we went to the cafe, we were told they have helped adopt out 110 cats. A fun place to visit and get some drinks and relax with cats.

This is one of my favorite places here in Lawrence. As someone who has always loved cats, having a little cafe on Mass street dedicated to delicious treats and adorable adoptable kitties is like a dream come true. I know several people who have adopted their kitties through the cafe and have had an amazing experience. These kitties get shown in a new light when they aren’t in a cage at a shelter. Their personality really shines through! The cats and the treats aren’t the only good thing. I’ve had great encounters with both owners who are just amazing! Brittanie, one of the owners, knows myself and the little boy I nanny by name and is just so personable. They’ll always make you feel right at home! Thank you Espurresso for all that you do for us customers and the sweet kitties that come through the Cafe.
